Do Plants Steal?

If the theory of the survival of the fittest is true;If the hypothesis that the plants compete for light air water and nourishment, is a fact, then there is no question why plants don't steal.

In one of my recent studies with the plants grown in pots, i caught red handed a plant stealing from its neighbour's pot. What attracted the plant to its neighbours pot is a question beyond my analysis, The thieves were truncated and removed before they could propagate new shoot in the neighbouring pots.
